Pituitary tumors are most usual intracranial tumors, displaying hormonal hyper-secretion with in some cases a sustained cell proliferation. The somatotroph adenomas are characterised by a GH hypersecretion. The current treatments are based on somatostatinergic or dopaminergic agonists.
